Everything you need to know about CR360
This is the first bulletin for riders joining the first edition from outside Costa Rica. Here are the basics: dates, how the event works, what it costs and what is included. We will send more along the way.
Dates you can't miss
Package pickup and talk with all riders.
Start. The 336-hour clock begins.
Time limit to reach the finish. That is 336 hours, exactly 14 days after the start.
All times are Costa Rica time.
Ultraendurance format
Ultraendurance is very-long-distance cycling: events of one or several days where the challenge is to complete a route of more than 200 km in a single push, with no assistance or prior coordination of any kind. In other words, 100 % self-supported.
- You may use shops and services along the route, as long as nothing was arranged in advance.
- Your family and friends can wait for you at the finish, but they cannot be on the route.
- There are no stages. The clock runs from the start, and you decide how much to ride, when to eat and when to sleep.
At CR360 the challenge is to ride the full perimeter of the country, 2,000 km, and reach Jacó before the 336 hours are up.
Checkpoints and cut-off times
There is a checkpoint (CP) roughly every 500 km. Each CP has a cut-off time, which is the deadline to arrive at it.

Prices and payment dates
The earlier you register, the less you pay. You reserve your spot with 20 % and pay the rest in installments or all at once, no later than May 20, 2027. All prices are in US dollars.

Paying from an international bank
Payments are processed through the Onvo payment gateway. Its fee, 3.9 % + $0.35, is added to payments made from an international bank.
Insurance is optional
Choose the price with or without insurance when you register. Insurance details are discussed directly with each rider.
Reserve your spot with 20 % before the date of your price.
Complete the payment in installments or all at once, no later than May 20.
